What is Aluminum Processing?


Aluminum processing involves various techniques and processes such as melting, rolling, extrusion, and surface treatment to produce final products for diverse industries.


Aluminum processing is categorized into deformation processing and casting processing. Deformation processing includes extrusion and rolling. Products made through extrusion are called extruded profiles, primarily comprising architectural and industrial profiles. Classification of Aluminum Processing Products


Aluminum processing products in China primarily revolve around profiles and sheets. Aluminum profiles can be classified based on different aluminum compositions and alloy ratios into series 1 to 9, with the 6-series being prevalent in the market. The 6-series aluminum profiles mainly consist of magnesium and silicon alloys.

The 6-series aluminum profiles are broadly categorized into two types:

1. Architectural profiles: Mainly used in the construction sector, particularly for doors, windows, and curtain walls.

2. Industrial profiles: Widely utilized in aerospace, rail transportation, radiators, and general industrial aluminum profiles.
